Stolen Horse: Cyber

Officer Jeff Brownrig with the Collin County Sheriff's
office filed the police report. His number is 972.547.5100. The investigator
is Mitch Selman and his number is 972.547.5149. case number: 02-11-125
Message from the owner:
first of all, cyber was taken out of his stall 3/20/02 around 6:30
PM
which is the busiest time of the day at north texas equestrian center
in
wylie, texas. his stall was
located in the very center of the row of the stables. i have my suspicions,
but after discussing the case with many people in the horse business,
have assumed that the person who committed the crime had prior knowledge
of
the horse. there was no sign of forced entry and nothing else taken,
not
even his halter hanging on his stall door. i was never notified of his
disappearance by the stable. i found out he was gone 24 hours later
because i showed up to ride him. we believe that somebody had to have
seen
something suspicious because of the time of his disappearance but that
no one is
coming forward. cyber is black with no markings and has no tattoo or
brand but is missing a front baby tooth. he has an extremely thick,
long
forelock and long tail. he had shoes only on his front feet because
he
interfered with his hind end. anyone riding cyber would be riding with
spurs and a
whip because he is very lazy. he has been started in dressage and has
perfected work at the trot. he has trouble picking up his correct leads
all the
time. with rider, he has jumped two feet and has been free jumped over
4 1/2
foot fences and has the ability for even higher fences. he will not
stop at
anything. he has no bad manners--no kicking, no biting or pawing when
in crossties. cyber is 1/4 quarter horse, 1/4 thoroughbred and 1/2
oldenburg. he has a quarter horse rear end and neck but the long legs
of a
thoroughbred. his personality and size is all warmblood. he is
extremely laid back and very friendly. he does have one scar behind
and just
above one front hoof but i am not sure which side. i desperately want
my horse
back.
